Hi and welcome to the MAMS library!  As your Librarian, I am here to help you find that "great book" you have been wanting to read, or even help you locate the best book, database, and/or website that will help you complete your research.  I'd also love to tell you a little about myself.  Aside from the fact that I am a voracious reader, there are lots of things I can tell you about myself:

*I love to travel - My favorite place to visit is Europe
Magazine recommendations - National Geographic Traveler, Conde Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure

*I love to cook - and eat!
Magazine recommendations - Martha Stewart's Everyday Food and Bon Appetit

*I love fashion, especially fun accessories
Magazine recommendations - Vogue, In Style, and Lucky

*My favorite place in the world is London.  I have been there too many times to count, and plan to live there one day.  My two young daughters have been there a number of times and they love it too!
Book Recommendations - The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, The Apothecary by Maile Meloy and The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd

*I love learning new things.  This is why I READ all the time.  I like to read both fiction and non fiction.  I love books, magazines, newspapers, cereal boxes - anything I can get my hands on.  Surprisingly, I have learned to enjoy my Kindle. . . . but I do usually prefer to stick to real, printed materials!

*Besides learning through reading, I like to take classes too.  Right now, my daughters and I are learning French together!  It's great fun, quite interesting and as Fancy Nancy says (a character in the Fancy Nancy picture books by Jane O'Connor) "Everything is fancier in French!"
