Created for kids by a meteorologist, this site allows kids to interactively learn about weather.   It explains different types of weather, climates and weather patterns and also includes experiments, games, myths and other interesting topics

Weather Dude
A fun site for kids created by a weather channel meteorologist.  The site allows kids to learn about weather and meteorology in a fun, upbeat way

Weather.com
The official site of the weather channel.  Kids can look up weather conditions for places around the world.  Also provides weather detail maps 

The Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration 
A compilation of websites about weather and types of weather conditions expressly for kids.  Kids can link to many different sites that feature safety information, games, coloring sheets among other things. ***This site is no longer updated, so be sure to click on the link at the top to be linked to their new website for updated material***
 
Sky Diary 
This is a site all about severe weather and storms.  Kids are able to learn about different forms of extreme weather, link to official sites about storms and even look at national satellite and radar information from the National Weather Service

CDC Natural Disasters and Severe Weather
Information on disasters and weather emergencies.  Includes information on what to do before, during, and after such events

The National Weather Service
The official site for the National Weather Service.  Students can look at national maps, radar and satellite images, graphical forecasts and learn about pretty much anything they an think of about weather

Accuweather
Information and  videos of inclement weather and weather forecasts by meteorologists

The Why Files
